Baby Shower Projects

Doily Bunting Tutorial by burlap+blue. It was easy to follow and my Grandma's old doilies have a new purpose. We used this to decorate for the baby shower and after I gave it to the mom-to-be to use for her daughter's birthdays and holidays.

T-shirt to Newborn Gown Tutorial by This Mama Makes Stuff. I found cool t-shirts from Goodwill to make these. Easy to follow and they turned out great.
T-shirt to Baby Shortall Pattern and Tutorial by Feather's Flights. I had a little trouble following the instructions, especially at the leg section. But I got it figured out and the rompers turned out awesome.

Sunglasses Pouch and Table Runner

I made a bunch of these Sunglasses Pouches. The instructions were easy to follow. I used vintage and upcycled material and gave them away as gifts.

I made two Christmas Table Runners (Tutorial from Diary of a Quilter - a quilt blog) as gifts and one for me. The instructions for this tutorial were easy to follow and the end result looks great.

Wraps and Pitas

Lunch: whole wheat tortilla wrap (turkey, cheese and spinach), avocado and veggie straws.

Lunch: whole wheat mini pitas (roast beef and cheese for son and jam for daughter), yogurt, cantaloupe, pomegranate seeds for son and mandarin oranges for daughter.

Holiday Lunches

Lunch: Christmas tree sandwich (cutout using a cookie cutter), mandarin oranges and carrot sticks.

Lunch: Valentine heart tortilla cutout sandwiches with sunbutter spread, fruit salad and hardboiled heart eggs.

The Messy 4-Braid Updo

I wanted to try this messy braided updo tutorial from Pinterest. It looked easy enough for me to do. On the two front braids, I french-braided down the front and sides instead of a regular braid. Next time I might tease the back of my hair more to make a bigger "bump" in the back. This tutorial was really easy and works well with second day hair.
